British Professional Photographer of the Year, Jackie King, and Her Path to Success

British Photographer Jackie King (noted as the first female photographer on the board of directors of the British Institute of Professional Photography) will be making a special visit to the B&H Event Space to discuss her success as a photographer through her experience in the Fashion Industry, Fine Art Photography, and her role as an Art Director. At 32 Jackie has a tenacious attitude and unbridled enthusiasm which has taken her from The Maine Photographic Workshops and studio of John Paul Caponigro to Algeria shooting film stills, backstage at catwalk shows in Milan and exhibiting her fine art images internationally. She will be discussing her work and the path she took from graduation to winning British Professional Photographer of the Year in 2005. In 2008 Jackie will be launching the first “Women in Photography Workshop”, a program which is designed to empower and inspire photographers on a creative and practical business level.
