It was such a pleasure and delight to photograph these guys for the front cover and all the storied inside, #beaming! Have a fab weekend everyone xx
Up little noses, cheeks, eyebrows, legs lol everywhere! + What fun getting to create such a special Birthday photo session. Mummy Emma baked the cake + had a really great vision for how she wanted it to look, including the FAB T-shirt with silver '1' on the front, the bunting + crown were awesome touches too + made this a super family occasion. x
Amongst the busyness of life and work, it's so lovely to stop and enjoy Spring, blossom, fresh air + sunshine. Yesterday was such a day when I appreciated open space and nature after a fun photo session and jam packed day it was wonderful + slightly necessary to step outside and smile at nature carrying on and doing her thing :-) Three things I'm grateful for: my magnolia, sunshine, fresh air :-) xx
Super cuteness alert! I was so thrilled when one of my amazing clients got in touch before Xmas to purchase a photo session as a gift for her brother + sister in law and their new arrival. Just down the road from my studio in Crystal Palace I met Mila and we had such fun! She was the cutest little bean and just a few days young.
I always find it more comfortable to visit my clients for newborn sessions so everything is familiar, comfortable and to hand + I was super delighted when I received a wonderful 'Thank you' email from Marta and incredible review of our session <3 xx
Thank you so much MNM :-) xx excited to watch your family grow xx
I'm just so thrilled to share this blog post from the amazing Flytographer website! This was such a fun proposal to capture for Flytographer and these two wonderful ladies. There were so many special and very personal details (The Blue door is from a favourite all time film, Notting Hill - the movie), the ring...actually everything! Please grab a tea and header to the blog to check it out xx

Deep in the gorgeous Hampshire countryside, intrepid adventures armed with their cameras and a great sense of humour last week explored their locale as we got to grips with our F-stops, shutter speed, ISO + the ingredients which go in to creating a photograph.
Cris + Nelly were super students as we spent the day improving skills and enjoying "Haleluya" moments :-) AND we got to work amongst a super beautiful setting with amazing details and plants!!
Sometimes it's reconnecting the dots + allowing ourselves some space + time to reconnect with the process + then the craft of using our cameras, our eyes + thinking in a different way. Sometimes it's concentrating on what's right in front of us without distraction + allowing our subconscious to feel - "I know this! I know this...Ahh I got it" OR "ahh thats how it works!!" (Even if that process can feel like walking throughtreacle)
Cris created this awesome video below of some of her footage and pictures from our day + I just love it, so please take a peek! She's very clever!
With Cris + Nelly we tailored the day specifically to their experience, level + aims for the day + all my photo workshops are tailored to each student and more often than not the handbook that accompanies a new camera or old camera that's being rediscovered, feels like it's written in gobbledygooke and until you get out there in the field/city/beach (delete as appropriate) the bits don't quite fit together.
Each location I teach in provides different gems and different challenges and is really exciting as we work our way through picture taking and the recipe involved in enabling us a greater understanding of our camera + pushing us out of our comfort zone + through boundaries.
I even managed to sneak a few pictures from our workshop below! :-) Enjoy xx
This morning the amazing #Ladiesfirstcroydon exhibition opened in Croydon and there was a buzz throughout the building!!!
It was incredible to be a part of such an amazing project and meet so many incredible women!

Jackie King's career took her to Italy, Ireland and the USA and covered many fields of creativity before returning to the UK and within one year of setting out as a freelance photographer, won the top honours at the 2005 professional awards as 'Photographer of the Year'. In 2006 Jackie gained a scholarship from QEST to study for an MA in Fashion Photography at the London College of Fashion.
Jackie rose through the ranks of the BIPP (British Institute of Professional Photography) and ended up sitting on the Board of Directors whilst studying for her MA, the first female and youngest photographer to hold this position whilst also running her own photography business.
Jackie’s work has been exhibited in an array of international locations from New York to London to Sydney and her portraits and lifestyle work printed + featured in a myriad of media outlets, including The British Journal of Photography, Digital Photo Pro magazine, The Sunday Times magazine, Damon Albans Honest Jons label as well as showcased as the front cover photo on Your London Wedding magazine.
In Celebration of previous 'International Women's Day', Jackie has photographed 100 Women in Science & Technology for Imperial College, London which was also exhibited at City Hall. She moderated a panel discussion in NY after approaching B&H Photo Video in Manhattan with the idea of celebrating women photographers.
"I am so thrilled to have been invited to particulate in this amazing project and meet such inspiring women, who each left a foot print of motivation and positive energy on me after photographing them".
WOW, Spring is almost here and this month is bustling with excitement already!!
Last week I had a fab photo shoot in West London with awesome fitness professionals and my 2017 wedding season began on Sunday! here are some snaps below :-) Have a great week everyone xx

During January I had the absolute pleasure to meet all these wonderful ladies + hear their stories. We laughed, joked, got serious, went deep + created great portraits which are window sized + larger than life!
The 'UnderCroydon' project is a fantastic initiative to inspire young women of Croydon + all of the women who were photographed were interviewed by 'mentee's' + their work is on display inside.
Please come along for the opening or pop by and check this fantastic project out! xx
If I had a £ for everyone who had said to me "I hate having my picture taken" I would seriously be a millionaire by now! In fact I am thinking I should start carrying a piggy bank around with me and demanding £1 from all the future people I am going to photograph lol
I digress, but seriously there are very few people who aren't terrified by having a camera pointed at them, but it is really important to keep your pictures updated and freshen things up with great representations of who you are and the direction you would like to go in.
Clients approach me for a variety of reasons,
I TOTALLY get the thought of having your picture taken brings you out in hives (hopefully not) cold sweats or night terrors BUT I promise, it won't hurt AND you'll have fun, I work to ensure you feel comfortable and almost forget you're having your picture taken - I talk A LOT so you'll probably be more relieved when our session ends that your ears can have a rest! lol :-)
Prices range from £175 for an hour and includes 5 digital images, edited and ready to upload/print/share
So thrilled to share a few pics from our new born session with Cedric & Charlotte, who was 10 days in the photo above and is just beautiful!!!
With each new born session we schedule my visit around what works best for you in the comfort of your own home and familiar surroundings. I have a selection of props and blankets ( this amazing hat had been purchased ahead of time but mum + dad + worked brilliantly!) which I bring with me and we create a mixture of lovely natural pictures and then some 'directed' ones, it really depends on what you'd like or if you're happy to leave me to art direct :-)
As a general rule for 'new born'' photography any time from birth up to 14 days is enough time to capture the 'newness' of each new little arrival. Things happen and sometimes this isn't possible so the date is slightly over, it's totally ok, we will still create gorgeous pictures, babies change so quickly after 14 days we say that a general rule but sometimes it's not possible + that's ok, it won't be the end of the world. xx
Just Kidding, there's no discussion! PRINTING PICTURES is important + here's why
1. It makes you Happy
2. You can share them with friends & family
3. You can pop them up at work, at home, heck the garden shed and car if you felt the urge
4. The feeling - THE FEELING of holding a picture in your hand is like no other, it's exciting!
5. You get to gush out loud/ in public/ to yourself when holding something this precious
6. Matt, Glossy, Lustre - the choice is wide but my favourite is MATT
THE END
I'm in love with these boxes and the smiles they're bringing to my clients faces and just the tangible element to them is so divine like you're treating yourself to a little gift...
VIVA LE print box revolution! ** All family and bump session now include this option!**
I think I might move in.......
LOL NOT because I'm a lush and love a drink but whilst photographing a portrait session for the local NCT Crystal Palace magazine on Friday I kinda fell in love with this place - it's light and airy and feels really inspirational just being there, #greatvibe #friendlystaff #compfyseats

Happy Valentine's Day!! xx More to follow from this super new born session very soon! xx
What a delight to photograph Charlie and his mummy and daddy! We had a wonderful time trying out different outfits and backgrounds and there were lots of amazing cuddles and kisses for this precious little boy who was 10 days young on our session <3
Yesterday morning I had the absolute pleasure of starting Sunday high up above London at the Sky Garden photographing whilst sunrise broke and the day started + it was so incredible and inspiring!!
These images are snap shots taken from my phone, photographing my work station screen as I edited the images from the Honestly Healthy event.
Afterwards everyone sat down to breakfast and feasted! It was super delicious + a spectacular view from the top!!
DJ Alex Cudeyo has been my fav DJ for a while now and there are some of his sessions on YouTube I play over + over + over and today I have this one on (link above) + it's totally making me smile whilst I catch up, get ready for next week (+ do a few chores) so I suddenly thought it would be fun to share!
